Located in North Raleigh off New Falls of the Neuse Road, Rex Healthcare of Wakefield provides exceptional heathcare for you and your loved ones.   Venkat L. Prasad M.D, Robert Gianforcaro, D.O., Craig Warner, M.D. and Alison Guptill, M.D. and the staff at Rex Family Practice of Wakefield  offer services ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, including physicals for school and sports. As an added convenience, laboratory and x-ray services are available on-site.

Prassad

    Venkat L. Prasad M.D. joined Rex Family Practice of Wakefield in November,  2009.

    Dr. Prasad was previously the Medical Director of Tri County Community Health

    Center in Newton Grove, NC. He is board certified in Family Practice/Urgent Care

    Medicine and received his medical training at Grant Medical College in Bombay,

    India and completed a residency at Wyckoff Hts. Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. 

    He also holds a MHA/MBA from Pfeiffer University.

Gianforcaro

Dr. Gianforcaro received his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine. He completed his postgraduate training at DeWitt Army Community Hospital in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He is board certified in Family Practice and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Practice and a faculty member of the Department of Family Medicine at UNC-Chapel Hill.

Warner

Dr. Warner is is a graduate of Emory University and the Miami School of Medicine. He is former chief resident at the Florida Hospital Family Practice Residency in Orlando, Florida and is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Warner is a good neighbor in the Wakefield community where he resides with his wife and two children.

Guptil

Dr. Guptill is a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, New York and the SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Richmond, Virginia Chesterfield family practice where she served as chief resident. She currently lives in Bedford with her husband and daughter.

 

APPOINTMENTS:
Office visits are by appointment and are scheduled between 8:15 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Our office is closed from 12:00 – 1:00 PM daily for lunch.

AFTER HOURS:
During regular office hours our telephone will be answered by our staff. After hours and on weekends, our answering service will receive calls and forward them to the covering physician, who will also be a Board Certified Family Physician.

If an emergency arises such as; chest pain, shortness of breath, or abdominal pain, please seek immediate care by contacting 911. If it is not a serious problem, please wait until regular office hours to contact us.

The Physician and office personnel are trained to assist you in detection, treatment, and prevention of illness. We look forward to a long and healthy relationship with you and your family and encourage you to express concerns or problems regardless of the issue.
